StillMotion is candid camera app that combines motion detection and distance sensing to automatically capture images and record videos when the person (subject) has remained stationary or in another words, standing still. :) Hence the name, StillMotion. StillMotion has three trigger conditions
1) A simple time delay (Duration) - set to delay for a couple of seconds and after that you have your photo and videos;
2) Single Go Only - this app will record a video or take a picture when a person sufficiently close and is not moving about. This mode is also capable of taking a series of photos when triggered once;
3) Continue until Exit - StillMotion will continue until it is exited by the user. Each time StillMotion is detected the capture of videos will be initiated and video capture will stop when the user is moving. Photos can also be taken each time StillMotion is detected.
StillMotion can operate as a hidden stealth camera and it is also suited as a candid camera. Human head must be visible to prevent abuses. This app takes advantage of hardware acceleration so to make the performance as smooth as possible and as battery friendly as possible. We will continue to find ways to improve the battery usage.
StillMotion belong to the ProximityCam family of apps that combines distance and motion sensing. StillMotion has a sister app that behaves completely opposite of StillMotion, MotionActive is the sister app that triggers when a person starts moving after having remained standing still. You may use this app in a variety of ways such as you want to record videos of people who come near your work desk when you are away at the washroom. Or you want to take a photo of people at reception desk automatically as a form of a visitor records (Of course, I assume that appropriate warnings will be displayed prominently).
