• PlatformSense: hate waiting around a busy departure board, and the mad rush that follows when the platform number appears? So do we! Now you can get the platform number well before anyone else - other train apps rely on National Rail Enquiries for platform information, but we use up to three different sources to get you platform numbers first

• Save stations as favourites for quick access, plus the app will show you the nearest three stations to you as soon as you open the app

• Search for stations by name, station code or see all the stations near you

• Pin trains - add train journeys to the app's home screen and follow their progress at any time - pinned trains conveniently disappear from the home screen 24 hours after they finish

• Every journey plan you request is stored for quick access later on (no network connection necessary). The app stores your searches for a month before they're deleted

• 'Next train home' - set up a home station, and you're one tap away from up to five journey plans from your current location to your home station
