ThumbWriter is a One Handed Keyboard that lets you type quickly and efficiently using your thumb on just one hand! Reach all the letters on the keyboard using larger devices, including the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and your iPad!



It's pretty simple - ThumbWriter's keyboard is the same size as the iPhone 4S/5/5S, so you can easily reach all of the letters using just one hand.



LEFTY or RIGHTY? Easy! Switch between LEFT and RIGHT handed typing by tapping on the ThumbWriter TW logo.



ThumbWriter contains all of the typing shortcuts you're used to on your device's default keyboard, including auto correct and predictive text! It also includes frequently used characters not currently available on your device's keyboard home screen, such as the @ and # keys.



To enable ThumbWriter, follow these steps on your iPhone/iPad:

1. Tap "Settings" > "General" > "Keyboard" > "Keyboards"

2. Tap "ThumbWriter - ThumbWriter"

3. If you don’t see "ThumbWriter" under "Keyboards", tap "Add New Keyboard…" and then tap "ThumbWriter"

4. Select "Allow Full Access"

5. Tap "Allow"



USING THE KEYBOARD: open the default keyboard and tap the Globe button to switch to the ThumbWriter keyboard and you’re done!



To switch between RIGHT and LEFT keyboards, tap the ThumbWriter TW logo.



PRIVACY STATEMENT: no personal data, no contact information, no address book information, no credit card information, no passwords or any sensitive information is collected by ThumbWriter… none at all! The full access is need for data transfer between the integrated keyboard and the standalone keyboard app.



What's New



We're gonna have some fun with our "What's New" section coz, let’s face it, they’re usually pretty dull and who really reads them any-ho? Anyways, down to business.



Update 1: SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED KEY SENSITIVITY.

Whoop whoop! No more screaming at your keyboard. Yup, those keys are now a helluva lot more sensitive. Like a good 'ol session with Ryan Gosling and The Notebook kinda sensitive.



Update 2: IMPROVED PREDICTIVE TEXT, AUTOCORRECT, AND TYPING FUNCTIONALITY SO IT’S ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE STANDARD iOS KEYBOARD.

As you might know, when Apple HQ started letting developer’s make custom keyboards, they decided they wouldn’t let us tap into their standard iOS keyboard functionality. D’oh! So we’ve had to build this thing from scratch. Yup: every... single... thing! Luckily for us, we have a room full of monkeys hitting keys at random on a keyboard for an infinite amount of time. So although we’re not planning on writing the complete works of William Shakespeare (*yet*), we’ve dramatically improved these things for ya. Update 3: MINOR BUG FIXES.

We always see this in app updates on the App Store, so we thought we'd include it too! We did actually fix a small bug that caused ThumbWriter to crash in certain circumstances, so whoop-whoop to that!



To finish off, here's a cool winky-face character thingamy we made just for you. Why? Coz this is a custom keyboard app so we need to be geeky and cool at the same time. We totally pulled it off.
